Compliance has just become available for the Toyota Alphard Hybrid and Vellfire Hybrid 20 series, with 2011 to 2014 models eligible for import right now.
This high end MPV is larger and a class above the Toyota Estima / Tarago, and is a direct rival to the Nissan Elgrand in terms of quality and features.
The 20 series Alphard and the sportier, more aggressively styled Vellfire have a 2.4L petrol engine coupled with Toyota’s E-Four electric 4WD system which regulates the rear-mounted, rear-wheel-propelling electric motor.
Together these generate 265 kW of power with fuel economy of just 5.6L / 100km.
Until now, Alphard and Vellfire models which started in 2002 were only approved for import to Australia as Welcab or Welfare vehicles (those with factory fitted disabled access features), which together with relatively low numbers available has limited their appeal for mainstream import.
In contrast, the Alphard Hybrid and Vellfire Hybrid models are readily available with many near new choices auctioned in Japan each week.
The Alphard and Vellfire both have a number of specification levels and currently range in price from about $40,000 to $70,000 complied depending on year, model and kms.
This allows you to see what has sold in Japan over that time and the actual sale prices. If you need assistance to work out the total import costs to your State please contact us.
