The Crown Crossover RS hybrid turbo uses a Direct Shift-6AT (6 speed automatic) transmission with E-Four Advanced drive system.

The Direct Shift-6AT in the hybrid turbo provides rapid and direct acceleration response using a clutch system and integrated powertrain control that selects the appropriate gear for each driving situation and finely controls engine and motor torque. M (manual) mode allows gears to be selected and held like a manual transmission.
The 2.4L turbo dual boost hybrid system uses the high-output 4WD system “E-Four Advanced” for the rear motor.
This system precisely controls front and rear wheel torque distribution between 100:0 and 20:80 according to the driving conditions, achieving high traction performance and handling stability on various road surfaces.
When starting and accelerating straight, the distribution is between 60:40 to 40:60 to suppress vehicle pitching and provide a direct acceleration feeling. When cornering, the vehicle speed, steering angle, and other information are used to distribute the driving force according to the driving conditions, contributing to excellent handling stability.
The driving force distribution is almost 50:50 from the beginning of steering and while turning, and the driving force distribution is more rear-biased (50:50 to 20:80) when exiting a corner, ensuring traction performance and suppressing vehicle pitching, while realising a cornering feeling that allows you to trace the intended line.
Power output of the hybrid turbo is 200 kW (272 PS) / 6,000 rpm.
Fuel economy (WLTC combined) for the Crown Crossover RS hybrid turbo is 15.7 km/L.
Hybrid models use an electric continuously variable transmission (CVT) with a different E-Four drive system.

Crown Crossover Electronic CVT
Aiming for a balance between fuel efficiency and driving performance, the electric continuously variable transmission achieves both low fuel consumption and excellent dynamic performance.
Power output for the hybrid models is 137 kW (186 PS) / 6,000 rpm, each model is a different weight so the fuel economy (WLTC combined) varies:
Crossover Z hybrid: 22.2 km/L
Crossover G hybrid: 22.4 km/L
Crossover X hybrid: 22.4 km/L

There is a good selection of Crown Crossover models going through auction in Japan every week – we can assist with the entire process from choosing the best example to shipping it to Australia.
We specialise in direct car import from Japan and have been sourcing vehicles to order for private Australian buyers for over 25 years.
Every vehicle of interest to our clients is carefully inspected in person at auction, with more pictures provided along with market pricing guidance to help set the budget.
Every vehicle is hand-picked and we only source the very best.
We make Toyota Crown Crossover import easy with physical inspections of vehicles by experienced staff at over 30 auctions every week in the Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe, and Kyushu / Fukuoka regions.
We start by focusing only on vehicles with the highest auction grades. But there is a LOT more involved than just basic auction grading !
Auction reports are often not reliable – we inspect every vehicle of interest in person to ensure it is up to our standard and has the options and features you want.
Most people (even Japanese export agents) do not realise that a significant % of vehicles in Japan are bought and sold by Japanese dealers for a quick profit between different auctions. If you are not aware of this you will almost certainly pay more than you needed to for exactly the same car.
Our experience with this situation alone will often save you more than the cost of our service fee.
Our import agent service includes a pre-check for past auction records using JCHC, at no cost to you. This allows us to rule out:
-
Cars recently auctioned and moved to a different auction for quick resale
-
Graded R (accident repair) cars changed to higher grades
-
Cars that have passed in unsold multiple times indicating a problem with the condition and/or price.
Hi Geoff,
Thank you so much for your guidance and advice throughout this whole process to import my 2003 Skyline V35 350GT Premium — it was an experience that I am thankful that I took the plunge into.
The car is going great and I really love driving it and getting the attention that goes with it, I ended up keeping the rims that came on the car as they do seem to suit it. I may still change these down the track and potentially put some 20″ on it but not a priority at this point, currently looking to upgrade the stereo unit though.
I have had a lot of interest in the car from friends and strangers so I have passed your details onto a few people so hopefully they get with the program and look at importing a car through you.
I would also be happy to talk to anyone about my experience so feel free to put anyone in contact with me that would like to talk to someone who has gone through the process. Thank you again for your patience and support and I look forward to the next time I am in need of a new car. Here is my review that I’ve posted for you on Facebook:
I recently imported my first V35 Skyline coupe through Prestige Motorsport, with the help and assistance of Geoff Risbey, who I cannot thank enough for his advice and support throughout this process. As this was my first time importing a car into Australia I was a little bit apprehensive on the idea, but I did some research on the net and came across Prestige Motorsport, after a bit more homework on the reviews and experiences of other people I felt confident that I had chosen the right broker to deal with.
Geoff was always ready and willing to give me as much or as little support as I wanted, he listened to what it was that I wanted and then with his guidance we worked out a rough budget and set about finding my dream car. The daily auction information that Geoff sent me was very helpful and if I found something that was of interest Geoff would discuss the car with me and provide his honest opinion on the car, if it was still a go he would then arrange an inspection of the car at the auction house through his connections in Japan. Geoff would then come back to me and discuss the findings and if he thought it was a prospective purchase, what impressed me was that Geoff was willing to wait until the right car came up and he never pressured me into buying a car he did in fact advise me not to purchase a couple of other cars.
Finally we found the one and commenced the auction process, it was a little nerve racking wondering if I was going to win the auction and then finally Geoff called me to give me the good news. From here Geoff then guided me through the process of exporting the car and then with the customs and compliance here in Adelaide.
Overall very impressed with the support throughout the process which made the whole thing quick an easy, and most importantly I felt confident in what was happening the whole time.
I am now the proud owner of a V35 and would highly recommend anyone considering importing a car to contact Geoff and draw on his years of experience, I know I will be doing so when I am next in the market for another car. Thank you again Geoff for your professionalism and support throughout this process it was a great experience and I am now loving my new car.
