This white 1996 Toyota Supra RZ-S twin turbo 6 speed with pre-VVTi engine and 106,000 kms was inspected for a client at HAA Kobe auction on 22 October 2016.

On inspection this vehicle was solid both in the body and mechanically, but was quite dirty. With a professional detail it would have presented quite well. Build date was actually October 1996, with first registration in Japan in March 1997 (hence being auctioned as a 1997 model).

Exterior aftermarket parts included:

Veilside 18″ alloys
Full HKS aftermarket piping, and bottom part of intake plenum
HKS adjustable suspension
Veilside exhaust cat back
Large factory brakes

Interior modifications:

BRIDE race spec bucket seat, quite worn, had a couple of holes in the right side
TAKATA racing seat belts
PIVOT water temperature and boost gauges on the A pillar
Small MOMO steering wheel
RAZO pedals
VEILSIDE shift knob
HDD Carrozzeria navigation unit
BLITZ digital boot gauge, may have boost controller incorporated
BLITZ turbo timer

Condition notes:

Wheels were fairly corroded, surfaces were oxidised so needed some refurbishment and cleanup
Wheels themselves looked ok
VEILSIDE aerokit had some spiderweb cracks and chips on sidepanels etc but nothing seriously wrong with it
Left side front corner where the bumper and front fender come together had some slight damage and a small amount of rust there. Easy fix.
Few light pin dents on the doors, minor
Paint could do with a cut and polish
Looked good and relatively clean underneath for age, only minor surface rust
Timing belt due for replacement, no evidence of having been done
Dash was a bit warped around vents etc. but not unusual for this model
