On inspection we found the overall condition to be quite poor, and definitely not worthy of the “B” interior grading with sun damaged interior panels, bubbled dash, deteriorated shift boot and cigarette burns to the rear seat.
Jacking points damaged. Tyres worn out and cracked.
Transmission and clutch felt fine, but engine was idling erratically.
Drift style handbrake plus other modifications and the overall condition indicated it had not been very well cared for with minimal maintenance, and would need a lot of work to repair all the faults.
Timing belt was replaced on 10 July 2010 at 71,600 km.
This vehicle passed in at around the 2,325,000 Yen FOB mark, equivalent to approx. $41,200 complied plus tyres and on road costs in Australia (@ 69.5 Yen to the dollar) under the 25 Year Rule. The seller wanted more than that, as the reserve price was not met.

I imported a black 1989 Mercedes Benz 190E LTD through Prestige. Great car ! Would definitely do it again. Condition, kms and price were all so much better than local options.
