1994 Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R

This 1994 Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R in white with 33,488 km was inspected for a client at USS Tokyo auction on 15 March 2018.

It is a good example of the critical importance of physical inspection on auction day, and why auction information alone cannot be relied on before bidding.

The auction graded it 4 C, and the auction report stated genuine kms, NISMO bodykit and 18″ alloy wheels, aftermarket intercooler and suspension.

Negative points mentioned were: stain on seat, gap on dashboard, side mirror paint coming off, scratches on alloy wheels.

Our inspection though revealed a very different story…

All rubber weather strips were perished and needed replacing, front bumper needed adjusting, U2 dent on the side sill, rust / corrosion throughout the car including spare tyre and boot, and the body needed a full repaint.

Basically it was badly damaged by the sun and rusted throughout.

The engine and aftermarket metal plate clutch sounded and felt good but just the overall appearance of the body and engine bay would indicate either it had been poorly maintained / stored or had traveled many more kms than claimed.
