This purple 2010 Nissan Elgrand E52 4WD Highway Star Premium 3.5L model with 68,000 kms was inspected for a client at JU Saitama auction on 19 July 2016. Graded 4 B due to some minor wear and tear and some scrapes on the body and wheels from general use, it was actually in quite good condition and very clean underneath.
Premium options included cruise control, dual power slide doors, power tailgate, front and rear parking sonar, factory around view monitor and TV, full leather seats, twin sunroof, front seat heater and cooler, HDD navigation, flip down monitor. It also had tiptronic transmission, engine push start and ESC.
There were scrapes on the bottom of the front bumper and minor scratches on the corners. Three of the alloy wheels had scrapes and the tyres were in need of replacement. Right front panel and possibly driver’s door paint were a little bit “wavy” meaning they may have been painted, but looked fine.
A2 scratch on the left rear door was very hard to see, not serious at all. Right door mirror cover had a small scrape and crack on the edge.
Under body condition was very clean. Driver’s seat was a little squashed on the edge from use which is typical for age and use. Steering wheel was very slightly worn, again this is typical expected wear. Roof lining had been stretched and was uneven in several places (pictured) — fixable.
It sold for 2,2240,000 Yen FOB which would be approx. $38,000 complied (at 79.7 Yen to the dollar), plus tyres and on road costs.

Hi Geoff,
Just letting you know that I picked up the Nissan Leaf on Monday, and I am absolutely blown away by the car, it’s incredibly fun to drive.
After receiving it from the compliance workshop I was able to top it off at the mall in Rhodes, and it drove back to Port Kembla with no trouble. It’s so fast off the mark, silent, and I haven’t yet paid a cent for any fuel.
I did get a first-hand feel for Australia’s EV infrastructure after initially going to the NRMA fast charger to find it faulty, then driving to Sydney markets to find that one faulty as well.
If you recall the SOH was 81% but it still gives me 180-190km for a full charge with my regular driving. I’m using L1/2 chargers only since getting it home.
I haven’t had the language changed on the infotainment and it doesn’t pick up local FM, but I can pair my phone for online radio anyway.
Your service was excellent and the process beats buying from a local dealership. I’m sure when I’m looking for my next EV you’ll be hearing from me!
Regards, Ian
