One of the best Minis we have seen in Japan in terms of condition and came with service and owner’s manuals and spare key.
Graded 4 C with 40,364 genuine kms.
Oil leak around the top of the engine (typical for this model).
Few small pin dents around the body. Roof lining dirty. Steering wheel and seats slightly scuffed. Driver’s seat had a 5cm tear noted along the seam.
Small spot of rust between the RHR quarter panel and top panel seam.
No rust in the typical problem areas for these Minis (underneath doors, headlights, floors). These areas were all nice and clean.
One small pin dent and scratch on the left door.
This 1999 Rover Mini Cooper was eligible for import under the SEVS import regulations for Australia.

Whether you’re looking for a classic 1999 Rover Mini Cooper like this one, or any other type of vehicle we can find it for you in nice condition with a bit of time, effort and of course the right budget.
The pictures are typical of the information we provide prior to auction for each vehicle of interest, with any faults shown so you can clearly see the condition before we discuss whether to bid, and your budget.
It is vital when sourcing your vehicle to use an agent that takes the time to physically check each vehicle and looks beyond the auction pictures and report to confirm condition. Some vehicles may have an unpleasant smoke or other odour, rust underneath, or other faults which are impossible to know without inspection.

I’m the happy owner of a 2003 Toyota Estima 3L Aeras S, sourced via Prestige Motorsport.
The car is immaculate (how can a 10 year old car have no gutter scrapes on the wheels!) and drives really well. Although I had a little anxiety of buying a car sight unseen, Geoff’s professional approach and his checks and balances (minimising the chance of it being a lemon) made my purchase much easier.
I think the effort involved importing a car is definitely worth it. Once you are aware of the timeframe involved, and you narrow down the list of what you are after, the range of vehicles available in Japan is amazingly large compared to local options.
I have no hesitation in recommending Prestige Motorsport.
Cheers Geoff !
