On inspection this vehicle presented in good condition for age, with points noted as follows.
Very clean interior, non-smoker. Fading to the top of the rear seats.
Body had touch up paint, some dents and scratches. Whole underbody painted black to hide some rust. Front bumper corner scratched. Right side rear quarter had an obvious painted section underneath the fuel filler cap, probably due to past fuel staining.
Left side rear had wavy paint and a small dent. Panels were original – no repairs. Needed new tyres. Engine bay rusty in places.
This 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 3 GSR sold for 2,860,000 Yen FOB. Had immediate import been possible at the time, this would have equated to approx. $45,000 landed in Australia (@ 75 Yen to the dollar).
This vehicle would have been eligible for import under the new 25 Year Rule in March 2020, based on the 2 March 1995 build date.
