This 1991 Honda NSX NA1 with 31,480 km was inspected for a client in December 2019.

Auction grade 4 C. Background investigation identified previous sale (at the same auction) in March 2019 as a grade 4.5 B for about 6,960,000 Yen FOB equivalent.

On inspection we found the interior, paint and mechanical condition to be quite good but major rust / corrosion to the underbody and wheels which was a big disappointment.

The rear end panel in particular was almost completely rusted through. It was on this basis that we excluded the vehicle from further consideration.

As can be seen with this NSX, auction grade 4 is no guarantee the vehicle is in good condition – ALWAYS have an independent inspection done prior to purchase.

Auction report noted:

Sales points:

Individual owner
Later model alloy wheels
Black leather seats
Original key

Report:

Scratches / dirt inside
Scratches / wrinkles / cracks on the seat
Rust / corrosion underneath
Dent on the rear panel underbody area
Scratches on the alloy wheels
Dent on the centre floor panel
Scratches / dents on the body

A correction announced on auction day noted speed meter panel was replaced but the odometer was not replaced – so the indicated mileage was genuine.

Registration region indicated ownership in a coastal area, which would account for the body condition.

This vehicle sold for 7,070,000 Yen FOB, or approx. $121,700 complied, plus on road costs.

Prices are constantly changing as vehicles age and new models are released, so feel free to get in touch with us for a current market price on the specification you want.

We only source the best vehicles with clean and tidy interiors, and only vehicles we would be pleased to own ourselves. This is why we are constantly told by clients that the vehicles we source are well above the condition of most others on the local market.

The pictures are typical of the information we provide prior to auction for each vehicle of interest, with any faults shown so you can clearly see the condition before we discuss whether to bid, and your budget.

Whether you’re looking for a 1991 Honda NSX NA1, or another year, make or model, we can find it for you in nice condition and at the best possible price.

It is vital when sourcing your vehicle to use an agent that takes the time to physically check each vehicle and looks beyond the auction pictures and report to confirm condition. Some vehicles may have an unpleasant smoke or other odour, rust underneath, or other faults which are impossible to know without inspection.
