On inspection the vehicle presented as a one owner dealer trade-in coming up to it’s 3rd period of re-registration, sent to auction for a quick sale without a clean / detail. This situation is good for buyers as the seller usually has a lower reserve price and wants a quick sale.
The body had several scratches on bumpers and right side as pictured, but nothing too serious for a family car. Left rear quarter had been repainted (not repaired), paint condition was marked as W2 but looked OK. Minor surface rust in a couple of places underneath.
Running well and overall quite a nice car that just needed a good clean.
This vehicle sold for 889,000 Yen FOB, which at the time would have been equivalent to about $19,800 complied, plus tyres on road costs @ 69.5 Yen to the dollar.
Prices are constantly changing as vehicles age and new models are released – near new cars in particular usually depreciate in Japan at a rate of 10 to 15% per year for the first few years.

Hi Geoff
Last August I bought a 2002 Evo 7 GTA through you with only 11,000 kms. I have since sold the car and am looking at getting another EVO.
This time I am looking at a 7 GSR, 8 GSR, 8 MR or EVO 5. I would really like a black 8 or 7 GSR but am mainly looking for good value like the example you found for me last time. I would appreciate it if you could send me some examples or or even sign me up to the auction alerts again to get an idea of the prices etc.
Regards
Sam
