This RARE and CLASSIC 1971 Nissan Skyline KPGC10 2000 GT R was sold at USS Tokyo on 16 June 2016 for 12,670,000 YEN FOB, and is an example of prices at that time. This model had very limited production numbers and prices at the time of posting were rapidly increasing with each example auctioned. Notes on the auction sheet stated that mileage was unconfirmed because it was an old car. Also, in the week prior to auction the fuel system was rebuilt including a new stainless steel tank, new lines / hoses, NISMO fuel pump, and a new fuel filter. The rear panel had been repaired or replaced, and the rear floor showed signs of this repair. Undercarriage was mentioned to show signs of rust repair. There were also signs of past damage and repair to the front radiator support and left inside panel. The interior was reported to have tears or splits on the seats and headliner. Seat headrests were missing and there were some marks on the dash. It was eligible for import to Australia under the existing 1988 and older rule. Prices for classic cars have been rising rapidly for some years due to demand from enthusiasts. Prices vary over time depending on supply, demand, exchange rates and other factors. Total price in Australia at the time would have been approx. $210,000 landed plus approx. $1,000 compliance allowance, plus tyres if required and ORC's (calculated at a rate of 78.5 yen to the dollar). This price includes an allowance of more than $30,000 in Luxury Car Tax. Please note that this vehicle is an EXAMPLE only and is not available for sale. It is intended to provide a good indication of import prices at the date listed.
