This 1981 Porsche 911 SC Coupe was inspected for a client at USS Osaka auction on 21 October 2016.

As far as old Porches go it was fairly clean and well cared for with minimal rust, and came from the Kobe area.

Front valence panel had a few cracks in the paint and was quite faded. Rubber parts around the body were quite good, as well as around the windows etc.

Paint looked like it may be original and was in pretty good shape for its age, could do with a cut and polish.

Factory alloy wheels. Engine had a leak around the bottom of the gearbox oil pan gasket or possibly the seal on top of where the shifter mechanism bolts down.

Underfloor areas looked good, nothing obviously damaged.

Interior had a black and white checkered pattern for the seats with vinyl on the sides. Large tear in the driver’s seat along the seam stitching. Roof lining was in decent shape but had yellow / brown discolouration in places.

Factory steering wheel had a few cracks and scuffs. Dash had minor warping, no obvious cracks, pretty good for age. Struts for bonnet and hatch needed regas / replacement. Side lights had some cracks / fading.

Good solid car as far as engine and drivetrain go.

We only source the best vehicles with clean and tidy interiors, and only vehicles we would be pleased to own ourselves. This is why we are constantly told by clients that the vehicles we source are well above the condition of most others on the local market.

Whether you’re looking for a classic 1981 Porsche 911 coupe, or any other type of vehicle we can find it for you in nice condition.

The pictures are typical of the information we provide prior to auction for each vehicle of interest, with any faults shown so you can clearly see the condition before we discuss whether to bid, and your budget.

It is vital when sourcing your vehicle to use an agent that takes the time to physically check each vehicle and looks beyond the auction pictures and report to confirm condition. Some vehicles may have an unpleasant smoke or other odour, rust underneath, or other faults which are impossible to know without inspection.
